Our popular Older But Stronger Classes at Spartans Gym have been running successfully since 2004. We have five classes per week to choose from, and each class concludes with participants enjoying Barista made coffee, and biscuits, all included in the program.
Participants ages range from 50 to 96 years of age! Improve the quality and longevity of life through Exercise & Laughter. Older But Stronger classes are the way to go.

Many of our participants, nowadays are referred from Ranges Physiotherapy, and Cardio Pulmonary Rehab Centres for ongoing exercise and motivation, and from local Retirement Homes.
We also have ladies attending that have survived Breast Cancer, and they absolutely love the non-intimidating, friendly atmosphere to come and exercise in. We have now added Line Dancing and Broadway Routine Moves to the agenda, using walking sticks for eye-hand co-ordination as well. Extremely popular with everyone who attends. Lots of laughs and fun to great motivating music.
Please note: Make sure your Medical Practitioner approves of you attending these low impact, gentle exercise classes, which are 100% supervised. Participants must obtain a doctors certificate outlining current medical conditions and medications that need to be taken into consideration before exercise is prescribed. Please bring this along to your first session and arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork.
